Bakes first
Green Jacket appearance was on the Robert Trent Jones
Trail in Alabama, 1995. Initially confused for the pizza
delivery guy, Bake quickly made his presence known with
gargantuan distance off of the tee coupled with little
to no control. That's always a lethal combination. Last
year's tourney was the first time we've ever had a request
to play behind someone.
His classic
Ping Eye2 irons have served him well over the years.
No wins, but they look cool. Speaking of cool, Bakes
fashion-forward presence on the links has certainly
overshadowed his game. It has been likened to Jesper
Parnevik's ingression to the Tour; from a collective
"Oh my God, what is he wearing," to "Will
they let him play in that?"
This former
handler from Clyde Peeling's Reptile Land™ still has
some tricks up his sleeve. The field saw some brilliant
fireworks from Bake in Pinehurst.. Armed with a new
attitude and some fresh golf sandals many expect Bake
to make a splash in Spain.
