David Black

A newcomer to the Tour in Canada '03, Mr. Black made his presence known immediately by sweeping the long-drive competitions in early rounds. Some have likened his go-for-broke swing to the venerable Long-John Daly sans corporate logo billboard shirts. Known to lose a shoe or two during his moiled slash at the little white ball, David is a real crowd pleaser. He always seems to attract the golf zealots who seem compelled to yell "You da man!!;" a phrase spawned by Mel Moore.

In Pinehurst David confirmed his commitment to the Tour by interrupting his honeymoon to vie for the green polyester. He was a factor the entire tournament getting stronger every round. David took home some hardware with partner Wern in the 2-Man Championship. His calm demeanor, yet fiery game makes him one to watch in Spain!
